Introduction

  1.      What do you do exactly?

AZ StRUT creates educational experiences from used technical equipment.

We primarily refurbish computers (desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones) and donate to Arizona schools and non-profits.

We provide Techie Camps to title 1 students

We responsibly recycle what we can not reuse.

 

  1.      Why do you do that, what pushes you?

We enjoy providing hands on support to disadvantaged students.

We want to extend the life of any worthwhile technology.

Extending tech life is valuable to our environment.

 

  1.      Most ridicule moment you had to face?

Insensitive remarks regarding our interns, volunteers.

 

  1.      What was the hardest/toughest moment you had to deal with?

The recycling market crash of 2008, 2009.

 

  1.      What was the most exciting moment that happened to you?

Talking to former students that are benefiting from the skills they learned in our programs is always satisfying.

 

  1.      What separates you from the rest? Why you?

Compared to electronic refurbishers/recyclers. None of them provide electronic reuse to our disadvanted youth to the degree that we do.

 

  1.      Do you have any upcoming events in the forthcoming months?

We are holding a refurbish a thon with Intel volunteers and Girl Scouts this Saturday.

We are scheduling additional refurbish a thons with other corporations and youth groups in 2018.

We donate $5000,000 worth of equipment to Arizona schools and nonprofits annually.
